Introducing your tutor Rachel Waters
Rachel is a passionate vocal coach and singing for wellbeing practitioner. Having been teaching singing since 2013 Rachel has supported singers of all ages, experience and background.
Whilst studying BA Hons in Popular Music and Recording at Salford University Rachel’s interest in understanding the voice grew, she began research and seeking external training to debunk her own issues, learn from some of the best voice experts in the UK and ultimately champion others in their singing experience. Now Rachel specialises in guiding singers to find their own unique gifts, grow in confidence and cultivate a singing experience that works for them.
Rachel created Sing to Bloom in 2020 opening a space for people to express themselves and find freedom in using their voice. This took off into corporate, community and individual work spaces. Flash forward to today, Rachel is still supporting singers to find their authentic voice, to build consistency in their technique and hone their gifts for more empowered singing EVERY TIME!
What we will do on the singing retreat
Rachel’s course covers some key aspects to set you up for singing success; building a healthy relationship with voice, an efficient and bespoke approach to technique and an exploration of your authentic, creative self.
The basis of this course was developed with you in mind, cutting straight to answer your biggest questions – this is a chance to debunk the myths, cultivate magic and embrace the mystery that is singing.
- Ready, set, GO! – preparing to sing, find our best warm ups and beyond!
- Breathe baby – understanding how to access efficient breathing technique.
- Tension Tamer- releasing common areas of vocal restriction or “strain.”
- Howling at the moon – exploring emotion as a tool for voice production and answering those common questions: “how to belt / sing higher / grow range / build strength.
- Singing Superpower – find your authentic singing USP. (Unique Singing Powers!)
